Circle 4 Pool

Phase Two opening documents from the Deschutes County Department of Health.  Here is what we have so far:

·         Pool must be monitored.  There is a search out for this person(s) now.

·         Pool would open July 4th and close Sept 8th

·         Hours of operation will be 12:00 to 6:00 pm

·         Days of operation will be Thursday through Monday; facility closed Tuesday and Wednesday to allow for ground maintenance and deeper chemical water sanitation.

·         There will be two sessions to sign –up for at a sign-up table: 12:30 to 2:30 pm and 3:30 – 5:30 pm. Sign-ups will be accepted at the table for the day in session and one day in advance only.

·         The name and phone number of the primary family group pool user will be requested and they can designate if they want to be contacted in the event it can be established that someone at the pool had Covid 19.  It is voluntary on the part of the designated primary family pool user to provide the contact information.

·         There will be distance squares marked on the grass and deck. These will dictate how many groups can sign up for each session. A group is one family unit.  If a group signs up for Session One then they will not be allowed to sign up for Session Two to allow as many groups as possible to use the pool that day.  If the sign-up sheet is not full than walk-ups may sign-up for the time in session and use the pool until that session is over.

·         Before, between and after the two swim sessions, as mandated by THE PLAN, pool surfaces and gates must be sanitized.  By 6:00 pm the cover will be pulled over the pool and gate locked. The monitor(s) will perform these tasks.

·         We will be using the main gate only – all other gates will be permanently chain locked to control sign ups and entry

·         Required signage for Covid 19 and THE PLAN must and will be clearly posted.

·         Each family group is expected  to properly distance and maintain distance from all groups other than their family group. The monitor is tasked with overseeing groups remain in their designated area unless they are in the water and moving back and forth from the water to the designated family areas for safety and health of all persons.

·         All persons entering the pool area will be required to sanitize their hands before using the gate.  That sanitizer will be available at the sign-in table. Masks when not swimming are recommended but will not be supplied. The monitor will wear a mask at all times

·         Pool users are encouraged to shower and use restroom facilities at their unit before the swim session starts as these facilities are not available at the pool.

·         Water fountain is turned off

·         Babies and toddlers must have swim diapers on

·         On rainy days the pool will be closed. Thunder and lightning will automatically close the pool. Sanitation mishaps will automatically close the pool until further notice.

·         A table, chair and umbrella will be supplied for the pool monitor only at the main gate.

·         Groups may bring in their own chairs and a umbrella and they must remove them when they leave. No tents, coverings or other items with the exception of towels and chairs/umbrella will be allowed.

·         No large pool toys will be allowed to be used this year as they may create a transmission hazard. Noodles, kids swim vests and arm inflation bands, etc. will be allowed.

·         There are shady and sunny spots at the pool.  They may not be reserved. These spaces are on a first come-first serve basis.

·         No glass allowed in the pool area

·         We expect cooperation and graceful interactions by all parties.
